| Annual Cruisng Class Dinner - 10/18/09 - Posted on Monday, October 05, 2009 CPYC Cruising Class Members,
Come celebrate the conclusion of another successful racing season!
The Annual Cruising Class Dinner is
coming up in two weeks.
We are planning an Oktoberfest-themed evening, so get those lederhosen pressed!
We will honor those who raced and those who served the fleet. We will have the traditional presentations of the Aunt Kate and Uncle Dan Cups, including poetry by those winning and relinquishing the honor. And we’ll have just a bit of business as well, with a report on the State of the Fleet.
We need to know how many are coming by no later than Monday, October 12th. Please let us know if you will be attending via email at palminct@optonline.net. If you have questions, email us at the above address or call 203-227-9843.
Dress is casual, and reservations are required. Because this event is paid for by your Cruising Class dues, attendance at no further cost is limited to boat owner(s), their significant
others, and Cruising Class dues payers. You may invite other guests, by prearrangement with your RSVP, at a cost $15 per guest.
When? Cocktails at 5:00, dinner at 5:45. See you then!!

| 2009 CPYC Summer PHRF Series - Posted on Monday, August 31, 2009The season was a good one. Light air prevailed throughout most of the weekends and very few races were lost for lack of wind. Several good race days were lost in certain divisions as members excersized their option to division swap into the Division 3 format.
In Division 1, Bill and Lucy Walker's Afterglow prevailed in a tiebreaker with Rich Gold's Turning Point. How about that, a season in which the two top boats each had 4 first each for their qualifying races. Good stuff! Additionally, Division 1 welcomed new member, Dave Henderson's Illusion, qualifying in 3rd along with Peter Hurley (4th).
In Division 2 at the end of a longer (7) qualifying races, the season 1st went again to Trevor Roach and his Forever and Always team. John McArthur's Smiles was 2nd and Linc Schoenberger's One Up 3rd. Seth Shepard and Halsey Bullen/James Coffman also qualified.
Division 3 had a tightly contested series in which anyone of three boats could win based on the last race. Paul Iffland's Moderation ended with the 1st, Ron Silverman's Endless Summer was 2nd and Kel Weber's Rascal was 3rd. Other qualifiers included Cliff Moran and Scott Shelly.
