Welcome to Cedar Point Junior Sailing!
Our sailing program introduces junior sailors to the joy of sailing and the thrill of sailboat racing. Participants are taught the essential elements of performance boat handling and seamanship as well as a healthy respect for the weather and waters of Long Island Sound. Teamwork, sportsmanship, individual initiative, and ethical behavior are all core values that are stressed throughout the season at CPYC.
The mission of our program is to offer many opportunities for our junior sailors to learn to sail, build self-confidence, develop long-lasting friendships, and enjoy the many facets of the sport - from racing to "mucking about in boats".
Above all, it's a time to get out on the water and have fun!!
Registration is now open for summer 2017!

Cedar Point is a yacht club founded on the spirit of member participation. All members work together to make CPYC the unique and outstanding racing club that it is. In keeping with this tradition, it is expected that the parents of our junior sailors contribute to the successful running of the Junior Program.
We will be hosting regattas this summer that will require your help. In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to help during our regular program. Even if you're not a sailor, there are plenty of ways to get involved!
