Adrian Little Wins Ida Lewis Double-Handed Class
Adrian Little and teammate John Ricci aboard Adrian's Sunfast 3600 captured first place in the class.
The 12th edition of the Ida Lewis Distance Race concluded in Newport on Saturday, August 20 after 37 boats completed courses as long as 120 nautical miles (Doublehanded, PHRF Spinnaker and IRC classes).

The round-trip courses incorporate waypoints such as Buzzards Bay Tower, Point Judith, Block Island and Montauk, giving racers an interesting and beautiful experience in this overnight “sprint” that has become a popular late-summer racing tradition in New England.

Adrian and his teammate, John Ricci, took off for Newport on Wednesday evening, Aug. 17, at dusk, waving to our Wednesday night PHRF fleet as they crossed paths returning for dinner.

The Race started in Newport on Friday, Aug. 19, and Adrian won the 107 mile double-handed class on his Sunfast 3600, Helios, returning to CPYC on Sunday.
