UPDATED 3/16/2017
As part of the on-going bridge replacement, the following work is scheduled:

  • Starting Mon, 3/27 thru Tues, 7/4 there will be no bridge access while the old bridge is removed and the new bridge installed.1
  • From Mon, 4/24 thru Mon, 4/1 the Island’s electricity will be supplied via temporary generators; to make the switch-over, the Island will be without power for about 1 - 2 hours on 4/24 and to make the switch back the Island will be without power for 2 - 3 hours on 5/1.  The exact duration will be dependent on construction progress and could be affected by unforeseen developments.

1 During this period, only the land bridge at the end of Canal Road will be available for entry/egress to/from Saugatuck Island.  A tide schedule will
be made available highlighting those high tide periods where flooding of Canal Road may impede access to/from Saugatuck Island.
