Shed / Junior Bldg Projects Progressing
Super Storm Sandy project to address damage to shed and junior building is progressing. Trenching is complete, conduit laid / inspected, and rewiring for junior building has started. Click READ MORE for additional info and photos.
It’s taken several years and lots of work by Capital Projects Committee volunteers, but we’re finally progressing with the project to address Super Storm Sandy damage to the shed and junior building.  We’re bringing in two new electric services – one to each building – and removing the huge transformer behind the shed. Trenching is complete and conduit laid and inspected for both buildings. The trenches will be refilled after the snow clears, and the road cuts will be patched after the asphalt plants reopen mid-March.  Work has also started on rewiring the junior building electric panel to the second floor and getting rid of the ancient switch gear. We plan to elevate the shed and primary electric service later this month once we can cut power to the bubblers without fear of freezing the basin and docks. Barring unforeseen complications, we’ll be done before Commissioning on May 5.
