You can enter the program at any age (6-18) and any skill level, and will be paired up with kids of similar skill/age/interest by the instructors. Kids are taught the essential elements of boat rigging, independent boat handling, teamwork, and as they progress seamanship, sportsmanship, weather and navigation.

Last but not least they have FUN IN THE SUN, enjoy theme-Fridays, and make new long lasting friendships with kids from surrounding towns.

Parent Participation

Our club was founded on the spirit of member participation. All members work together to make CPYC the unique and outstanding racing club that it is.  In keeping with this tradition, it is expected that the parents of our junior sailors volunteer to help run and improve our Junior Sailing Program.

We host a handful of junior regattas every summer that will require your help to make them successful and enjoyable for your kids.  In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to help before, during, and after the summer.  Even if you're not a sailor, there are many ways to get involved (e.g. marketing, social, logistics, registration, etc.)!

Please let us know if you can help
